This type of pressure reducing valve is composed of a main valve, a pilot valve, a needle valve, a one-way valve, a ball valve, a miniature filter and a pressure gauge. Since the pilot valve, needle valve, and pressure gauge need to be connected to the main valve using a conduit, they are collectively referred to as the conduit control system.
When the downstream pressure of the pressure reducing valve exceeds the set value of the pilot valve spring, the pilot valve closes, the drainage of the control chamber becomes 0, the pressure change reaches the maximum value, and the main valve disc is pressed against the valve seat to close the pressure reducing valve. Once the downstream pressure drops to the set value of the pilot valve spring in the pressure-reducing valve, the pilot valve opens, and the pressure water in the control chamber will be discharged to the downstream through the pilot valve and ball valve.
Some Notes About This Pressure Relief Valve
The pressure reducing valve should be installed horizontally, and the debris in the pipeline should be thoroughly cleaned before installation. Pay attention to the water flow arrow on the main valve body, and follow the direction to install it. After installation, ensure that there is no pipe stress acting on the valve body and internal components.
A gate valve and a filter should be installed before the pressure reducing valve, and a gate valve should also be installed after the pressure-reducing device for easy maintenance.
The pilot valve and pipeline control system in the pressure reducing valve have been assembled and tested in the factory. If the pressure value set by the pilot valve is not suitable for the on-site requirements, it can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the upper screw of the pilot valve. Turning the screw clockwise will increase pressure, while turning it counterclockwise will decrease pressure.
The microfilter should be cleaned regularly.
The pipeline system and pressure reducing valve must be thoroughly flushed before passing.
Bypass valves should be installed on important water supply lines.
