Product Installation of Steam Pressure Reducing Valve

The steam pressure reducing valve is equipped with adjustable springs at the factory, and users can choose to install it according to the desired outlet pressure value.

Before installing the steam pressure reducing valve, the pipeline system must be flushed and cleaned to prevent impurities such as welding slag and oxide scale from entering the valve and affecting the valve

The door works normally. Steam pressure reducing valve should be installed in a place that is convenient for operation and maintenance, and it must be installed vertically in a horizontal pipeline. It is necessary to pay attention to the direction of the flow of the fluid in the pipeline to be consistent with the direction of the arrow on the valve body, and do not install it in reverse.

When installing and using the steam pressure reducing valve, the stop valve on the bypass pipe should be opened to clear the condensate and steam-water mixture in the pipe.

In order to prevent the water hammer phenomenon caused by the opening of the pressure relief valve from causing damage to the pressure relief valve, if there is no abnormal phenomenon, slowly rotate the adjusting screw in a clockwise direction and adjust the outlet pressure to the desired pressure (based on the gauge pressure after the valve). After adjustment, tighten the locking nut and screw on the protective cover.

A filter should be installed in front of the steam pressure reducing valve to prevent impurities in the medium from entering the pressure reducing device and affecting its performance.

There are two straight pipes before and after the steam pressure reducing valve, the length of the straight pipe before the valve is about 600mm, and the length of the straight pipe after the valve is about 1000mm.

  • The steam pressure reducing valve of this product must be installed strictly according to the installation drawing, and any installation pipeline accessories shall not be changed or missing.
  • Before using the steam pressure reducing valve, the valve body must be cleaned before installing the new pipeline. Wash away the dirt in the pipes to prevent it from entering. The valve body cavity is blocked, leading to faults and other phenomena.
  • If the steam pressure reducing valve cannot reduce the pressure after the initial installation, you can reinstall the spring cover and use it again.

After using the steam pressure reducing valve for a period of time, if the product fails, you can disassemble the upper and lower valve covers, clean the water scale of all parts, and then reassemble and use again. However, care must be taken when handling to prevent any collisions or scratches, and the valve body and valve cover should not be installed upside down.

The steam pressure reducing valve may loosen the secondary valve sealing ring due to repeated expansion and contraction over a long period of intermittent use. If the auxiliary valve sealing ring and the lower sealing surface of the copper gasket leak air, you can remove the spring cover and tighten it.
