Some Working Principles of Globe Valve
The hand wheel of the globe valve rotates in a clockwise direction, and the working medium enters from the channel below the valve seat. At this time, the applied sealing force must be equal to or greater than the sum of the necessary pressure and the upward action of the medium on the sealing surface. When the stop valve is opened, the opening height of the valve disc is 25% ~ 30% of the nominal diameter, and the flow rate has reached the maximum, indicating that the valve has reached the fully open position. Therefore, the fully open position of the stop valve should be determined by the travel of the valve disc.
Note:
- The globe valve only allows the medium to flow in one direction, and it has a directional installation.
- The function of a globe valve is either 0 or 1, either open or closed. In other words, globe valves are only suitable for fully open and fully closed, and it is not recommended to adjust and throttle.
